Difference between Accountant and Bookkeeper

 

Accountant and bookkeepers have different roles. The accountant will review and interpret financial information, as well as, prepare financial reports. Whereas, the bookkeepers ensure all financial information is recorded correctly.

Do I have to sign a contract?

 

There is an engagement letter which outlines the scope of work that is agreed upon. Services will be reviewed quarterly and adjustments can be determined at that time.

Are there set-up fees?

 

Services are paid on a month-to-month basis, however, there are some instances when a one-time fee would be charged such as initial setup/training with bookkeeping or payroll and historical clean-ups.

Although we do not do tax prep, we do work with some remarkable CPA’s who can assist with your tax needs.  If you prefer to use your own CPA, we will make sure your books are kept accurate and up to date throughout the year so that they are ready for your tax preparer at year end.
